![]() Held Saturday and Sunday, February 19-20, 2022 on Zoom and Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus, HGSA’s conference allows visitors to meet other scholars in their field, gain invaluable feedback on current research, and collaborate on work. More than 130 participants from around the world took part in the perfectly organised event and enjoyed the intense discussions and personal meetings after. With presenters and commentators from numerous fields of history, including but not limited to urban, public, gender, medieval, medical, political, social, and cultural, the annual conference is a perfect setting for both master’s and doctoral students to present their latest work. Founded in 1995, the Association of Personal Historians has more than 625 members representing 11 countries. One of the most significant contributions of the HGSA is sponsoring a graduate history conference. Its purpose is to cultivate academic excellence and community among the graduate student body through workshops, conferences, informal gatherings, and the funding of student activities. Loyola University Chicago’s History Graduate Student Association (HGSA) has been serving the interests of full-time and part-time graduate students for over a decade. ![]()
